Make portals at about 200 and 800 blocks on the floor. Then when DoG gets close. You simply dash through the portal and gain invunurability frames when exiting the other portal. A long sky arena with 2 platforms, 3 for extra care, spaced about 30 blocks apart works for the Devourer, as this will make its multitude of attacks easier to dodge. See more
WebWhat solved it for me was switching my armor set back to the luminite armor set (such as the stardust armor set). I beat DoG 3 times with the silva armor set and nothing dropped. The moment I switched back to the stardust set and beat it again, it did the whole death animation and dropped its loot. Hope this helps!
